I, ALAN KELLY, Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by sections 4 and 43 of the Housing (Miscellaneous) Provisions Act 2014 (No. 21 of 2014), and with the consent of the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform, hereby make the following regulations:
Citation
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Housing Assistance Payment (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations 2015.
Commencement
2. Regulation 4(1) comes into operation on 15 June 2015 and Regulation 4(2) comes into operation on 29 June 2015.
Definition
3. In these Regulations “Principal Regulations” means the Housing Assistance Payment Regulations 2014 (S. I. No. 407 of 2014).
Maximum rent limits
4. (1) Regulation 10 (as amended by the Housing Assistance Payment (Amendment) Regulations 2015 ( S.I. No. 200 of 2015 )) of the Principal Regulations is amended by substituting the following for the Table to that Regulation:
“TABLE

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Instrument and does not purport to be a legal interpretation)
Regulation 4(1) of these Regulations amends the Housing Assistance Payment Regulations 2014 ( S.I. No. 407 of 2014 ) by substituting, with effect from 15 June 2015, an expanded Table in Regulation 10, which, in addition to the maximum rent limits previously prescribed under section 43 (2)(a) of the Housing (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2014 (No. 21 of 2014) for specified classes of qualified household, sets out the maximum rent limits that will, under the Housing Assistance Payment (Section 50) (No. 2) Regulations 2015 ( S.I. No. 245 of 2015 ), apply in the administrative area of Offaly County Council.
Regulation 4(2) of these Regulations amends the Housing Assistance Payment Regulations 2014 ( S.I. No. 407 of 2014 ) by substituting, with effect from 29 June 2015, an expanded Table in Regulation 10, which, in addition to the maximum rent limits previously prescribed for specified classes of qualified household, sets out the maximum rent limits that will, under the Housing Assistance Payment (Section 50)(No. 2) Regulations 2015 ( S.I. No. 245 of 2015 ), apply in the administrative areas of Carlow County Council, Clare County Council, Cork City Council and Tipperary County Council.
