Establishment of School Councils as Pilot Projects

made under subsection 20(5) of the
Education Act

Order in Council 96-25

The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Education and Culture dated November 2, 1995, pursuant to Section 40A of Chapter 136 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Education Act, is pleased to establish the following as pilot projects:

(a) L'Ardoise School Council for L'Ardoise School administered by the Richmond District School Board;

(b) the Digby Neck School Council for Digby Neck Consolidated School administered by the Digby District School Board;

(c) the E.B Chandler School Council for E.B Chandler Junior High School administered by the Cumberland District School Board, and transfer those responsibilities of the Cumberland District School Board respecting the suspension of students as specified in subsection 39(3), the Education Act, to the E.B Chandler School Council;

(d) the Graham Creighton School Council for Graham Creighton Junior High School administered by the Halifax County-Bedford District School Board, and transfer those responsibilities of the Halifax County-Bedford District School Board respecting the suspension of students as specified in subsection 39(3), the Education Act, to the Graham Creighton School Council;

(e) the Judique Creignish School Council for Judique Creignish Consolidated School administered by the Inverness District School Board;

(f) the Lockeport Regional School Council for Lockeport Regional High School administered by the Shelburne District School Board;

(g) the Petit de Grat School Council for l'Ecole Petit de Grat administered by the Richmond District School Board;

(h) the Sackville High School Council for Sackville High School administered by the Halifax County-Bedford District School Board.
