Regulations Respecting Notes Issued by the Bank of Canada
P.C. 1989-1086 1989-06-08Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Finance, pursuant to subsection 25(3) of the Bank of Canada Act, is pleased hereby to revoke Regulation No. 1 made by Order in Council P.C. 2752 of October 28, 1936Footnote *, and to make the annexed Regulations respecting notes issued by the Bank of Canada, in substitution therefor, effective July 1, 1989.

1 These Regulations may be cited as the Bank of Canada Notes Regulations.

Notes

2 Notes issued by the Bank of Canada shall be in the following denominations:

(a) [Repealed, SOR/96-122, s. 1]
(b) five dollars;
(c) ten dollars;
(d) twenty dollars;
(e) fifty dollars; and
(f) one hundred dollars.

3 The notes referred to in section 2 shall bear facsimiles of the signatures of the Governor and the Deputy Governor who are in office at the time the notes are printed.
