HEALTH INSURANCE (STANDARD HOSPITAL BENEFIT)
AMENDMENT REGULATIONS 2013

The Minister responsible for health, acting on the recommendation of the Bermuda
Health Council, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 40(1) of the Health Insurance
Act 1970, makes the following Regulations:
Citation
These Regulations, which amend the Health Insurance (Standard Hospital Benefit)
Regulations 1971 (“the principal Regulations”), may be cited as the Health Insurance
(Standard Hospital Benefit) Amendment Regulations 2013.
Amends regulation 9
Regulation 9 of the principal Regulations is amended by—
deleting “$271.61” and substituting “$325.84”;
deleting “$62.68” and substituting “$75.19”;
deleting “$34.88” and substituting “$43.57”; and
deleting “$8.05” and substituting “$10.05”.
Amends regulation 10
Regulation 10 of the principal Regulations is amended by—
deleting “$1,086.44” and substituting “$1,303.36”;
deleting “$250.72” and substituting “$300.78”;
deleting “$34.88” and substituting “$43.57”; and
deleting “$8.05” and substituting “$10.05”.

Amends regulation 11
Regulation 11 of the principal Regulations is amended by—
in paragraph (1)(a)(i), deleting “$135.81” and substituting “$162.92”;
in paragraph (1)(a)(ii), deleting “$31.34” and substituting “$37.60”;
in paragraph (1)(b)(i), deleting “$543.22” and substituting “$651.68”; and
in paragraph (1)(b)(ii), deleting “$125.36” and substituting “$150.39”.
Amends regulation 12
Regulation 12 of the principal Regulations is amended by—
in paragraph (1)(a), deleting “$31.34” and substituting “$37.60”; and
in paragraph (1)(b), deleting “$125.36” and substituting “$150.39”.
Commencement
These Regulations come into operation on 1 April 2013.
