COMMENCEMENT DAY (NO. 5) NOTICE 2009
The Minister responsible for Justice, in exercise of the powers
conferred by section 1 of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 2006,
issues the following Notice:
Short title
1 This Notice may be cited as the Police and Criminal Evidence Act
2006 Commencement Day (No. 5) Notice 2009.
Sections of PACE 2006 to come into force
2 Sections 8, 9, 11 to 22, 24 and 31 of the Police and Criminal
Evidence Act 2006 shall come into force on the coming into force of this
Notice.
Provisions of Schedule 4 to come into force
3 Schedule 4 of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 2006 shall
come into force to the extent of repealing sections 241, 465, 466, 467
and 468 of the Criminal Code.
Revocation
4 The Police and Criminal Evidence Act 2006 Commencement Day
(No. 4) Notice 2009 is revoked.
Commencement
5 This Notice shall come into force on 7 September 2009.
