MARINE BOARD (SEABORNE SERVICES) REGULATIONS 2009



The Minister responsible for Marine and Ports Services, in

exercise of the powers conferred by section 97 of the Marine Board Act

1962 makes the following Regulations:

Short title

1 These Regulations may be cited as the Marine Board (Seaborne

Services) Regulations 2009.

Interpretation

2 In these Regulations "Seaborne Services" means services

performed by the Minister under section 97 of the Marine Board Act

1962.

Rate of Dues

3 Dues payable in respect of Seaborne Services shall be calculated

as set out in the Schedule.

4 The Marine Board (Seaborne Services) Regulations 2001 are

revoked.

SCHEDULE (regulation 3)

PART I

VESSELS

Pilot boat $ 600 per hour

Buoy Tender $ 600 per hour



Notes

1 Where a vessel has been hired continuously for a period

exceeding twenty-four hours the Authority may reduce the

rate in respect of the period exceeding twenty-four hours by

an amount not exceeding ten per centum.

2 Tender Service to cruise ships are subject to a minimum of—

(a) three round trips for the first twelve hour period; and

(b) five round trips in any twenty-four hour period.

3 Except in the case of dues specified in Part IV of the Schedule,

all charges are subject to a 100 per cent surcharge—

(a) on Saturday, Sundays and public holidays; and

(b) between 1630 hours and 0800 hours on normal

working days.
