The Minister responsible for health, in exercise of the powers

conferred by section 13B of the Health Insurance Act 1970, makes the

following Order:

Citation

1 This Order may be cited as the Health Insurance (FutureCare

Plan) (Premium) Order 2009.

Premium

2 The premium (including the standard premium) to be paid to the

Council in respect of each FutureCare plan effected with the Council

under the Act for persons over the age of 65 years who qualify for

subsidised hospital treatment under section 2(1) of the Act shall be $260

a month (or $60 a week where paid weekly).

Premium for persons who do not qualify for subsidy

3 The premium (including the standard premium) to be paid to the

Council in respect of each FutureCare plan effected with the Council

under the Act for persons over the age of 65 years who do not qualify for

subsidised hospital treatment under section 2(1) of the Act shall be

$775.36 a month (or $178.93 a week where paid weekly).

Commencement

4 This Order shall come into operation on 1 April 2009.
