CIVIL AIRPORTS (LANDING FEES) AMENDMENT
REGULATIONS 2008



The Minister responsible for Tourism and Transport, in exercise
of the powers conferred by section 6(2)(k) of the Civil Airports Act 1949,
makes the following regulations:

Citation
1 These Regulations may be cited as the Civil Airports (Landing
Fees) Amendment Regulations 2008.

Inserts new section 3A
2 The Civil Airports (Landing Fees) Regulations 2006 are amended
by inserting next after section 3 the following section—

“Waiver of fees under Air Service Incentives Programme
3A (1) Notwithstanding section 3, landing fees are waived for a
period not exceeding 6 months for airline flights to or from any
one destination if the airline flight and the airline providing the
flight qualify under the Air Service Incentives Programme.

(2) To qualify under the Air Service Incentives Programme
an airline must—

(a) have a scheduled flight on a non-stop routing to or
from Bermuda;

(b) be certified and possess the necessary operating
authority; and

(c) have entered into an agreement with the Minister
responsible for Tourism and Transport.

(3) To qualify for the Air Incentives Programme an airline
flight must be part of—

(a) a scheduled service to a destination that has not
been previously served by any airline; or

(b) a new scheduled service to an existing or previously
served destination”.”

Revocation
4 Section 3A of the Bermuda Air Terminal (Fees) Regulations 1952
is revoked.
