HEALTH INSURANCE (HEALTH INSURANCE PLAN)
(ADDITIONAL BENEFITS) AMENDMENT ORDER 2008



The Minister responsible for Health, in exercise of the powers
conferred upon him by section 13(2) of the Health Insurance Act 1970,
makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement
1 This Order, which amends the Health Insurance (Health
Insurance Plan) (Additional Benefits) Order 1988, may be cited as the
Health Insurance (Health Insurance Plan) (Additional Benefits)
Amendment Order 2008 and shall come into operation on August 1,
2008.

Amends Schedule to BR 58 of 1988
2 The Schedule to the Health Insurance (Health Insurance Plan)
(Additional Benefits) Order 1988 is amended by inserting next after
paragraph 10 the following —

“11. Contribution towards the cost of a kidney
transplant to an amount not exceeding $70,000.

12. Basic dental care.

13. Specialist services for any medically necessary
procedure as determined by the Bermuda Health
Council to an amount not exceeding $500 per
year.”
