MOTOR CAR AMENDMENT (No. 2) ACT 2008

WHEREAS it is expedient to amend the Motor Car Act 1951:
Be it enacted by The Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and
with the advice and consent of the Senate and the House of Assembly of
Bermuda, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Short title
1 This Act, which amends the Motor Car Act 1951 (the “principal
Act”), may be cited as the Motor Car Amendment (No. 2) Act 2008.
Amends references to schedules
2 The words “the First Schedule”, “the Second Schedule” and “the
Third Schedule” in reference to schedules to the principal Act are
replaced by the words “Schedule 1”, “Schedule 2" and “Schedule 3”
respectively wherever they occur in that Act and in any other provision of
law that makes reference to those schedules.
Amends section 59A
3 Section 59A(1) of the principal Act is amended by deleting the
words “the rate of $70” and substituting the words “rates prescribed in
the Government Fees Regulations 1976”.
Amends section 116
4 Section 116 of the principal Act is amended by deleting the
amount “$24” in paragraphs (1)(a) and (d) and substituting the amount
“$100”.

Repeals and replaces Schedule 2
5 Schedule 2 to principal Act is repealed and replaced by the
following —
