TRADE DISPUTES AMENDMENT ACT 2007

Be it enacted by The Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and
with the advice and consent of the Senate and the House of Assembly of
Bermuda, and by the authority of the same, as follows:
Short title
1 This Act, which amends the Trade Disputes Act 1992 (the
“principal Act”), may be cited as the Trade Disputes Amendment Act
2007.
Amends long title
2 The long title to the principal Act is amended by deleting the
word “TRADE” and substituting the word “LABOUR”.
Amends preamble
3 The preamble to the principal Act is amended by deleting the
word “Trade” and substituting the word “Labour”.
Amends section 1
4 Section 1 of the principal Act is amended by deleting the word
“Trade” and substituting the word “Labour”.
Amends section 2
5 Section 2 of the principal Act is amended —
(a) by deleting the definition “specified trade or industry”;
and

(b) in the definition “Tribunal”, by deleting the word “Trade”
and substituting the word “Labour”.
Amends section 3
6 Section 3 of the principal Act is amended by deleting the words
“in any trade or industry”.
Amends section 4
7 Section 4 of the principal Act is amended by deleting the words
“in a trade or an industry and shall specify therein the trade or
industry”.
Amends section 5
8 Section 5(1) of the principal Act is amended by deleting the word
“Trade” and substituting the word “Labour”.
Amends section 11
9 Section 11 of the principal Act is amended by deleting the words
“in a specified trade or industry”.
