HEALTH INSURANCE (HEALTH INSURANCE PLAN)
(ADDITIONAL BENEFITS) AMENDMENT ORDER 2006

The Minister of Health, in exercise of the powers conferred upon
her by section 13(2)(b) of the Health Insurance Act 1970, makes the
following Order:

Citation and commencement
1 This Order, which amends the Health Insurance (Health
Insurance Plan) (Additional Benefits) Order 1988, may be cited as the
Health Insurance (Health Insurance Plan) (Additional Benefits)
Amendment Order 2006 and shall come into operation on 1 April 2006.

Amendment
2 The Schedule to the Health Insurance (Health Insurance Plan)
(Additional Benefits) Order 1988 is amended by deleting item 7 and
substituting the following —

"7. Cost of prescription drugs, to an amount not exceeding
$1,150 per year, in respect of persons 65 years of age and older”.
