The Minister of Tourism and Transport, in exercise of the powers
conferred by section 10(1) of the Marine Board Act 1962, gives the
following Notice:

Citation
1 This Notice may be cited as the Marine Board (Control Over
Maritime Traffic) (No. 2) Notice 2005.

Power boat closed circuit races
2 Four power boat closed circuit races will take place on the North
Basin of Dockyard on Sunday, 1 May 2005.

Closure of certain basin entrances
3 During the power boat closed circuit races referred to in
paragraph 2 the entrances to North and South Basins will be closed to
normal maritime traffic from 12:00 noon to 3:30 p.m.

Patrol of course
4 The entrances and area referred to in paragraph 3 will be
patrolled by the Marshall boats during the Races and all mariners, pilots
and boatmen are required to exercise extreme caution when approaching
such entrances and areas.

Speed limits not to apply
5 The speed limits fixed by the Marine Board (Declaration of Speed
Limits for Boats) (Mariners) Notice 2001 shall not apply to persons and
boats participating in the Races on the date and at the times specified in
paragraphs 2 and 3 respectively.

Postponement of race
6 In the event that due to inclement weather the race is postponed
to Sunday, 8th May 2005, this Notice shall in all respects apply to the
race held on that date.
