THE HOSPITAL INSURANCE (HEALTH INSURANCE PLAN)
(ADDITIONAL BENEFITS) AMENDMENT ORDER 2004
The Minister, in exercise of the powers conferred upon her by
section 13(2)(b) of the Hospital Insurance Act 1970, makes the following
Order:
Citation
1 This Order, which amends the Hospital Insurance (Health
Insurance Plan) (Additional Benefits) Order 1988, may be cited as the
Hospital Insurance (Health Insurance Plan) (Additional Benefits)
Amendment Order 2004.
Amends Schedule to BR58 of 1988
2 The Schedule to the Hospital Insurance (Health Insurance Plan)
(Additional Benefits) Order 1988 is amended by inserting next after
paragraph 8 the following —
"9. Laboratory tests
(a) at clinical laboratory facilities which are approved by the
Hospital Insurance Commission, and
(b) in respect of which the reimbursement rates have been
approved by that Commission.
10. Cardiac diagnostic services

(ADDITIONAL BENEFITS) AMENDMENT ORDER 2004

(a) at facilities which are approved by the Hospital
Insurance Commission, and
(b) in respect of which the reimbursement rates have been
approved by that Commission."
Commencement
3 This Order shall come into operation on 1 April 2004.
