The Minister of Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred
upon him by section 10(1)(a) and (b) of the Marine Board Act 1962, gives
the following Notice:

Citation
1 This Notice may be cited as the Marine Board (Control Over
Maritime Traffic) (No. 3) Notice 2003.

Circumnavigation Boat Race
2 The Circumnavigation Boat Race will take place on Sunday 1
June 2003.

Course for race
3 The course for the race will be as follows —

From Dockyard to Pearl Island to Commissioner's Point,
Dockyard to Daniel's Head Island to Pompano to South Shore
as far as St. David's Head to Fort St. Catherine to Oil Docks to
Flatts Inlet to Hog Fish Beacon and thence to Boaz Island,
Dockyard.

Patrol of course
4 The course referred to in this Notice will be patrolled by Marine
Police and Marshall boats and all mariners, pilots and boatmen are
required to exercise extreme caution when navigating in the proximity of
the course for the Circumnavigation Boat Race.

Speed limits not to apply
5 The speed limits fixed by the Marine Board (Declaration of Speed
Limits for Boats) (Mariners) Notice 2001 shall not apply to persons and
boats participating in the Circumnavigation Boat Race.

Postponement of race
6 In the event that, due to inclement weather, the race is
postponed until Sunday 8 June 2003 and the provisions of this Notice
shall in all respects apply to the race held on that date.
