The Minister of Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred on
him by section 10(1) of the Marine Board Act 1962, gives the following
Notice:

Citation
1 This Notice may be cited as the Marine Board (Control Over
Maritime Traffic) (No. 2) Notice 2003.

Power boat closed circuit races
2 Four power boat closed circuit races will take place within the
North Basin of Dockyard on Sunday 27 April 2003.

Closure of certain basin entrances
3 During the power boat closed circuit races referred to in
paragraph 2 the entrances to the North and South Basins will be closed
to normal maritime traffic from 12:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Patrol of course
4 The entrances and areas referred to in paragraph 3 will be
patrolled by Marshall boats and all mariners, pilots and boatmen are
required to exercise extreme caution in approaching such entrances and
areas.

Non-application of speed limits
5 The speed limits fixed by the Marine Board (Declaration of Speed
Limits for Boats) (Mariners) Notice 2001 shall not apply to persons and
boats participating in the power boat closed circuit races.

Postponement of races
6 In the event that, due to inclement weather, the races are
postponed to Sunday 11 May 2003 the sea passages referred to in this
Notice will be closed, and the provisions of this Notice shall in all
respects apply to the races held on that date.
