GOVERNMENT EMPLOYEES (HEALTH INSURANCE) NOTICE
2003

The Minister of Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred upon
him by section 2(1) of the Government Employees (Health Insurance) Act
1986, gives the following Notice:

Citation
1 This Notice may be cited as the Government Employees (Health
Insurance) Notice 2003.

Interpretation
2 In this Notice —

"the Act" means the Government Employees (Health Insurance)
Act 1986;

"government employee" has the meaning given in section 2(1) of
the Act;

"parish council" means a parish council established under
section 1 of the Parish Councils Act 1971.

Government employees to include staff of parish senior homes
3 For the purposes of the Act staff of parish senior homes
administered by parish councils are prescribed to be government
employees with effect from the 1st day of July, 2003.
