HOSPITAL INSURANCE (DEDUCTIONS) AMENDMENT
REGULATIONS 2002

The Minister in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by
section 40 of the Hospital Insurance Act 1970 makes the following
Regulations:

Citation and commencement
1 These Regulations, which amend the Hospital Insurance
(Deductions) Regulations 1971, may be cited as the Hospital Insurance
(Deductions) Amendment Regulations 2002 and shall come into
operation on 1 April 2002.

Amendments
2 The Hospital Insurance (Deductions) Regulations 1971 are
amended as follows—

(a) in regulation 2(1)(a), for the words "$11.44¢" substitute
the words "$11.99¢";

(b) in regulation 2(1)(b), for the words "$49.57¢" substitute
the words "$51.95¢";

(c) in regulation 3(1), for the words "$11.44¢" substitute the
words "$11.99¢".
