BERMUDA MONETARY AUTHORITY (ST. DAVID'S
LIGHTHOUSE COMMEMORATIVE COINS) REGULATIONS 2002

The Minister of Finance, in exercise of the powers conferred upon
him by section 13 of the Bermuda Monetary Authority Act 1969, makes
the following Regulations :

Citation
1 These Regulations may be cited as the Bermuda Monetary
Authority (St. David's Lighthouse Commemorative Coins) Regulations
2002.

Issue of St. David's Commemorative Coins
2 The Bermuda Monetary Authority may issue coins ( in these
Regulations referred to as "St. David's Lighthouse Commemorative
Coins").

Denominations
3 The denomination of the St. David's Lighthouse Commemorative
Coins shall be as follows

(a) $60.00 (sixty dollars); and

(b) $5.00 (five dollars).

Form and Design
4 The form and design of the St. David's Lighthouse
Commemorative Coins shall be in accordance with the sample coins
deposited with the Bermuda Monetary Authority and in particular 

(a) the obverse design of every coin shall be the portrait by
sculptor Ian Rank-Bradley of Her Majesty Queen
Elizabeth II in profile wearing a tiara, together with the
inscriptions "Bermuda", "Elizabeth II" and the
denomination;

(b) the reverse side of every coin shall depict the St David's
Lighthouse with circumferential lettering with the
inscriptions "Bermuda", "St David's Lighthouse" and
"2002"; and

(c) the shape of each coin shall be round.

Standard Weight and Composition
5 The standard weight and composition of the St. David's
Lighthouse Commemorative Coins and the amount of tolerance and
variation allowed therein, shall be as set forth in the Schedule.
