MERCHANT SHIPPING ACT 1979 (FIFTH SCHEDULE)
AMENDMENT NOTICE 2001

The Minister of Transport, in exercise of the powers conferred
upon him by section 22A of the Merchant Shipping Act 1979, gives the
following Notice:

Citation
1 This Notice, which amends the Fifth Schedule to the Merchant
Shipping Act 1979, may be cited as the Merchant Shipping Act 1979
(Fifth Schedule) Amendment Notice 2001.

Inserts new Regulations in Fifth Schedule
2 The Fifth Schedule to the Merchant Shipping Act 1979 is
amended—

(a) under the heading "DANGEROUS GOODS", by inserting
next after the final entry the following—

"S.I. 1995 No. 2498 The Merchant Shipping (Reporting
Requirements for Ships Carrying Dangerous or Polluting
Goods) Regulations 1995

S.I. 1999 No. 2121 The Merchant Shipping (Reporting
Requirements for Ships Carrying Dangerous or Polluting
Goods) (Amendment) Regulations 1999"; and

MERCHANT SHIPPING ACT 1979 (FIFTH SCHEDULE)

(b) by inserting next after the final entry in that Schedule
the following—

"VESSELS IN COMMERCIAL USE FOR SPORT OR
PLEASURE

S.I. 1998 No. 2771 The Merchant Shipping (Vessels in
Commercial Use for Sport or Pleasure) Regulations 1998

S.I. 2000 No. 482 The Merchant Shipping (Vessels in
Commercial Use for Sport or Pleasure) (Amendment)
Regulations 2000"."

Consequential amendment of Fifth Schedule
3 Consequential on regulation 2, the Fifth Schedule is amended by
deleting the following entries—

"S.I. 1981 1077 The Merchant Shipping (Tankers) (EEC
Requirements) Regulations 1981

S.I. 1982 1637 The Merchant Shipping (Tankers) (EEC
Requirements) (Amendment) Regulations 1982".
