HOSPITAL INSURANCE (STANDARD HOSPITAL BENEFIT)
AMENDMENT REGULATIONS 2001



The Minister, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him
under section 40(1)(a) of the Hospital Insurance Act 1970, makes the
following Regulations:―

Citation and commencement
1 These Regulations may be cited as the Hospital Insurance
(Standard Hospital Benefit) Amendment Regulations 2001 and shall
come into operation on 1 April 2001.

Amends regulation 2 of SR&O 13/1971
2 Regulation 2 of the Hospital Insurance (Standard Hospital
Benefit) Regulations 1971 is amended—

(a) by deleting the word “and” at the end of paragraph (xv), by
deleting the full stop at the end of paragraph (xvi) and
substituting the word “;”;

(b) by inserting next after paragraph (xvi) the following―

“(xvii) hyperbaric and wound care treatment;

(xviii) bone densitometry; and

(xix) cardiac care programme.”.

Amends regulation 3 of SR&O 13/1971
3 Regulation 3 of the Hospital Insurance (Standard Hospital
Benefit) Regulations 1971 is amended―

(a) by deleting the word “and” at the end of paragraph (ix), by
deleting the full stop at the end of paragraph (x) and
substituting the word “;”;

(b) by inserting next after paragraph (x) the following―

“(xi) hyperbaric and wound care treatment;

(xii) bone densitometry; and

(xiii) cardiac care programme.”.
