BERMUDA NATIONAL PARKS PROTECTED AREAS (No.2)
NOTICE 2001

WHEREAS the Minister responsible for the Environment (the
Minister") deems it expedient that certain amendments should be made
to the First Schedule to the Bermuda National Parks Act 1986:

AND WHEREAS the Minister has given an opportunity for public
comments to be made to him under section 4 of the Act on the proposed
amendments, and has duly taken into account such public comments as
have been so made:

NOW, THEREFORE, the Minister, in exercise of the powers
conferred upon him by section 3 of the Act and by any other statutory
provision, gives the following Notice:—

Citation
1 This Notice may be cited as the Bermuda National Parks
Protected Areas (No.2) Notice 2001.

Amendment of First Schedule to Bermuda National Parks Act 1986
2 The First Schedule to the Bermuda National Parks Act 1986 is
amended by inserting in its proper place in Class B the following entry—

"61 Railway Trail All Parishes".

Up-dating of Maps
3 (1) There are added to the Maps described in the Bermuda
National Parks Act 1986 the maps respectively relating to the Railway
Trail, that is to say, Maps No 5510/011/02 to and including
5510/011/21.

(2) In this Notice—

"Railway Trail" means all that land and buildings
consisting of approximately 35 hectares (86 acres),
now known as the "Railway Trail" and defined on
Maps No. 5510/011/02 to and including
5510/011/21 prepared by the Department of
Works and Engineering, previously vested in the
Bermuda Railway Company Limited and now, by
virtue of section 3(a) of the Railway Purchase Act
1946 (repealed), vested in the Government free from
all encumbrances."
