HOSPITAL INSURANCE AMENDMENT ACT 2000

[Operative Date 1 April 2000]

WHEREAS it is expedient to amend the Hospital Insurance Act
1970:

Be it enacted by The Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and
with the advice and consent of the Senate and the House of Assembly of
Bermuda, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

Citation and Commencement
1 This Act may be cited as the Hospital Insurance Amendment Act
2000 and shall come into operation on 1 April 2000.

Amends section 3A of the Hospital Insurance Act 1970
2 Section 3A of the Hospital Insurance Act 1970 is amended in
subsection (2) by deleting the full stop at the end of paragraph (e) and
substituting a semi-colon and by inserting next after paragraph (e) the
following—

"(f) all claims for health care services provided in the home
of a patient who resides at home; where such services,
the person responsible for the provision of such services,
and the rates chargeable in respect of such services, are
approved by the Commission.".
