THE HOSPITAL INSURANCE (DEDUCTIONS) AMENDMENT
REGULATIONS 1999

The Minister in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by
section 40 of the Hospital Insurance Act 1970 makes the following
Regulations:

Citation and commencement
1 These Regulations which amend the Hospital Insurance
(Deductions) Regulations 1971 may be cited as the Hospital Insurance
(Deductions) Amendment Regulations 1999 and shall come into
operation on 1 April 1999.

Amendments
2 The Hospital Insurance (Deductions) Regulations 1971 are
amended as follows:

(a) in regulation 2(1)(a), for the symbols and figure
"$10.24¢" substitute the symbols and figure "$10.69¢";

(b) in regulation 2(1)(b), for the symbols and figure
"$44.35¢" substitute the symbols and figure "$46.30¢";
and

(c) in regulation 3(1), for the symbols and figure "$10.24¢"
substitute the symbols and figure "$10.69¢".
