PENALTIES AMENDMENT NOTICE 1997

The Senior Magistrate in exercise of the powers conferred upon
him by section 9(1) of the Traffic Offences Procedure Act 1974 and with
the approval of the Chief Justice gives the following Notice:

Citation
1 This Notice which amends the Traffic Offences Procedure Act
1974 Specified Penalties Notice 1988 may be cited as the Traffic Offences
Procedure Act 1974 Specified Penalties Amendment Notice 1997.

Amendments
2 The provision relating to—

(a) section 17(2) of the Auxiliary Bicycles Act 1954 is
amended by deleting the symbol and figures "$100" and
substituting the symbol and figures "$250";;

(b) section 52(2) of the Motor Car Act 1951 is deleted and
the following substituted—
