PHARMACY AND POISONS REGULATIONS 1998

The Minister in exercise of the power conferred upon him by
section 48(1)(g) of the Pharmacy and Poisons Act 1979 makes the
following Regulations:

Citation
1 These Regulations may be cited as the Pharmacy and Poisons
Regulations 1998.

Amends Third Schedule to Pharmacy and Poisons Act 1979
2 The Third Schedule to the Pharmacy and Poisons Act 1979 is
amended by inserting therein, in appropriate alphabetical order, the
drugs specified in Part A of the Schedule hereto.

Amends Fourth Schedule to the Pharmacy and Poisons Act 1979
3 The Fourth Schedule to the Pharmacy and Poisons Act 1979 is
amended by inserting in Parts I and II thereof, in appropriately
alphabetical order, the drugs respectively specified in Parts B and C of
the Schedule hereto.

Famotidine

Nizatidine

PART B

Drugs to be inserted in Part I of the Fourth Schedule

Famotidine in preparations for internal use with ms 10
mg

Loratadine in tablets with ms 10 mg
in syrup with ms 5 mg/5 ml

Nizatidine in preparations for internal use with ms 75
mg

PART C

Drugs to be inserted in Part II of the Fourth Schedule

Acyclovir in preparations for topical use and ms 5%

Ketoprofen in preparations for internal use with ms 75
mg

Minoxidil in topical preparations with ms 2%

Neomycin in preparations for external use with ms 3.5
mg per gram

Nicotine in patches with ms 21 mg/24 hours

Nizatidine in capsules with ms 75 mg
