PENSIONS (PUBLIC SERVICE SUPERANNUATION ACT 1981)
(INCREASE) ORDER 1972

[made under section 2(2) of the Pensions (Increase) Act 1972 [title 9 item
32] as applied by section 3(4) of the Public Service Superannuation Act

1981 [title 9 item 31] and brought into operation on 27 March 1997]

Citation
1 This Order may be cited as the Pensions (Public Service
Superannuation Act 1981) (Increase) Order 1997.

Increase of rates of pensions
2 The annual rate of pensions payable under the provisions of the
Public Service Superannuation Act 1981 shall, with effect from 1 July
1996, be increased as follows—

(a) the rate of pensions beginning on or before 30 June 1994
shall be increased by 5½ per cent;

(b) the rate of pensions beginning in the half year period
ending on 31 December 1994 shall be increased by 4½
per cent;

(c) the rate of pensions beginning in the half year period
ending on 30 June 1995 shall be increased by 3 per cent;

(d) the rate of pensions beginning in the half year period
ending on 31 December 1995 shall be increased by 2 per
cent;

(e) the rate of pensions beginning in the half year period
ending on 30 June 1996 shall be increased by ½ per cent.
