BERMUDA STATUTORY INSTRUMENT

BERMUDA HOSPITALS BOARD (MEDICAL AND DENTAL
CHARGES) ORDER 1997

[made under section 13A of the Bermuda Hospitals Board Act 1970 [title
11 item 26] and brought into operation on 1 May 1997]

Citation and commencement
1 This Order may be cited as the Bermuda Hospitals Board
(Medical and Dental Charges) Order 1997 and shall come into force on 1
May 1997.

Medical and dental charges
2 For the purposes of section 13A of the Bermuda Hospitals Board
Act 1970 (which provides for the regulation of medical and dental
charges by means of a scale of fees setting out the number of units
which may be charged for certain treatments and procedures in, or
partly in, the hospitals) the dollar value of the units referred to in the
scale of fees prepared under that section shall be as set out in the
following tables.

MEDICAL PRACTITIONERS

Non-specialist physician 17.50

Specialist physician 22.30

Non-specialist anaesthetist 15.45

Specialist anaesthetist 18.65

Non-specialist surgeon 11.40

Specialist surgeon 14.05

Non-specialist obstetrician 22.80

Specialist obstetrician 22.80

For the purposes of this Table, "specialist" means a person designated as
such by the Medical Staff Committee of the Bermuda Hospitals Board.
