TRAFFIC OFFENCES PROCEDURE AMENDMENT ACT 1995

WHEREAS it is expedient to amend the Traffic Offences
Procedure Act 1974:

Be it enacted by The Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and
with the advice and consent of the Senate and the House of Assembly of
Bermuda, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

Citation
1 This Act may be cited as the Traffic Offences Procedure
Amendment Act 1995.

Amends Schedule 1 to the Traffic Offences Procedure Act 1974
2 In Schedule 1 to the Traffic Offences Procedure Act 1974 (traffic
offences to which ticket procedure applies) after the entry relating to the
Hamilton Traffic and Sidewalks Ordinance 1988 there shall be inserted—

"Hamilton Pay and Display Voucher Parking Ordinance 1995

Parking in pay parking street without displaying valid
parking voucher, contrary to Hamilton Pay and Display
Voucher Parking Ordinance 1995 Articles 3 and 13

Parking for more than one hour in same place in pay parking
street, contrary to Hamilton Pay and Display Voucher Parking
Ordinance 1995 Articles 3 and 13

Returning to same place in pay parking street before the
expiry of one hour, contrary to Hamilton Pay and Display
Voucher Parking Ordinance 1995 Articles 3 and 13

Removing valid parking voucher from vehicle, contrary to
Hamilton Pay and Display Voucher Parking Ordinance 1995
Articles 6 and 13

Substituting parking voucher, contrary to Hamilton Pay and
Display Voucher Parking Ordinance 1995 Articles 6 and 13

Altering information on parking voucher, contrary to
Hamilton Pay and Display Voucher Parking Ordinance 1995
Articles 6 and 13

Parking in incorrect manner in pay parking street, contrary
to Hamilton Pay and Display Voucher Parking Ordinance 1995
Articles 7 and 13

Waiting in pay parking street when suspension sign in place,
contrary to Hamilton Pay and Display Voucher Parking
Ordinance 1995 Articles 9 and 13."

Amends Schedule 2 to the Traffic Offences Procedure Act 1974
3 In Schedule 2 to the Traffic Offences Procedure Act 1974
(parking notice) after paragraph 29 there shall be inserted

"29A Parking in contravention of the Hamilton Pay and
Display Voucher Parking Ordinance 1995, contrary to Article
13 of that Ordinance."
