RECONSTRUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION (DESIGNATED AREAS) ORDER

(Section 13 (1))

[2nd April, 1977]

1. This Order may be cited as the

RECONSTRUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION (DESIGNATED AREAS) ORDER.

2. The areas set out in the Schedule hereto are hereby designated for the purposes of section 13 of the Reconstruction and Development Corporation Act.

SCHEDULE

1. All that piece or parcel of land, situate at Belize City north of the Haulover Creek, containing 345 acres approximately and being bounded and described as follows:

Commencing at a point on the sea coast where the sea meets with the most Westerly boundary of LANDIVAR, thence in a Westerly direction along the sea coast for an approximate distance of 5,000 feet thence in a South Westerly direction for an approximate distance of 1,400 feet to a point on the Haulover road thence in a South Easterly direction along the Northern extremity of Haulover road for an approximate distance of 1,800 feet, thence in a North Easterly direction along the Western boundary of a site surveyed and allocated for light industrial uses which site is located along the Haulover road, for an

approximate distance of 350 feet, thence in a South Easterly direction for an approximate distance of 4,100 feet along the most Northerly boundary of the said light industrial site, thence in a Northerly direction along the Western boundaries of the Nazarene High School, the Junior Secondary School No. 1, the University Centre and the Belize Teachers’ College to the North Western corner of the said Belize Teachers’ College for an approximate distance of 2,600 feet when measured in a straight line, thence in a direction of true East along the Northern boundary of the Belize Teachers’ College for an approximate distance of 900 feet to the Western boundary of LANDIVAR, thenc in a direction of true North along the Western boundary of LANDIVAR for an approximate distance of 2,500 feet to the point of commencement.

2. All that piece or parcel of land situate at Belize City south of the Haulover Creek, containing seventy-five acres approximately and being more particularly bounded and described as follows:

Commencing at a point where Partridge Street intersects Lord Ridge Cemetery, thence along Partridge Street in a Northerly direction for an approximate distance of 300 feet to the intersection of Partridge and Vernon Streets, thence along Vernon Street in a Westerly direction for an approximate distance of 550 feet to a point where the Western boundary of lands the property of St. Martin de Pores Church join Vernon Street, thence along the Western boundary of the said St. Martin de Pores land to a point where it intersects the continuation of Mahogany Street for an approximate distance of 1,000 feet thence in an Easterly direction along the continuation of Mahogany Street to a point where it intersects Partridge Street for an approximate distance of 500 feet, thence in a North Easterly direction along Partridge Street for an approximate distance of 500 feet, thence in a Westerly direction for an approximate distance of 400 feet, thence in a Northerly direction for an approximate distance of 500 feet thence in a Westerly direction for an approximate distance of 550 feet, thence in a Southerly direction for an approximate distance of 600 feet, thence in a Westerly direction for approximate distance of 1,200 feet, thence in a Northerly direction for an approximate distance of 800 feet, thence in a Westerly direction for an

3. All that piece or parcel of land situate at Caesar Ridge on the South side of Belize City containing 470 acres approximately and being bounded and described as follows:

Commencing at a point where the South Eastern extremity of Monroe Stree joins Caesar Road, thence in a South Westerly direction along Caesar road for an approximate distance of 1,800 feet to a point near the Western boundary of the Esso Bulk Storage Lands, thence in a South Easterly direction along the Western boundary of the Esso Bulk Storage land for an approximate distance of 800 feet to a point on the sea coast, thence in a Westerly and North Westerly direction along the sea coast for an approximate distance of 6,100 feet, thence in a North Easterly direction for an approximate distance of 1,400 feet to a point where the Easterly boundary of land now or formerly the property of GILES CARGILL intersects Caesar Road, thence along the Eastern Boundary of the lands now or formerly the property of GILES CARGILL in the said North Easterly direction for an approximate distance of 750 feet to the North East corner of the said property, thence in a North Easterly direction for an approximate distance of 1,000 feet, thence in a South Easterly direction for an approximate distance of 1,300 feet, thence in a North Easterly direction for an approximate distance of 1,600 feet to a point, thence in a South Easterly direction for an approximate distance of 1,500 feet to a point, thence in a North Easterly direction for an approximate distance of 850 feet to Fabers Road, thence along Fabers Road in a South Easterly direction for an approximate distance of 1,750 feet to a point where Fabers Road

RECONSTRUCTION AND DEVELOPMENT (LADYVILLE) ORDER.

2. The “Ladyville Area” is hereby designated as the site of a proposed “new town” for the purposes of the laying out and development of that area.
