CHAPTER 68
BELIZE CITY WATER AND SEWERAGE SYSTEM LOAN
[1st March, 1975]
1. This Act may be cited as the Belize City Water and Sewerage System
Loan Act.
2. Notwithstanding the provisions of any other Act, the Minister is hereby
authorized to borrow from the Government of Canada a sum not exceeding
seven million nine hundred and four thousand Canadian dollars and a further
sum not exceeding two million five hundred and seventy-five thousand
Canadian dollars from any other source on such terms as may be agreed
upon between the Minister and the lenders.

3. The Minister may issue such promissory notes or other instruments as
may be necessary for the purpose of giving effect to the terms of any
agreement in respect of the money borrowed under the authority of this Act.
4. The money borrowed under the authority of this Act shall be appropri-
ated and applied for the purpose of providing a Water and Sewerage
System for Belize City and to meeting any expense ancillary thereto.
5. The principal moneys and interest represented by the loan issued under
this Act are hereby charged upon and shall be payable out of the Consoli-
dated Revenue Fund and assets of Belize.
