After regulation 65 of the Wireless Telegraphy Regulations the following Part is inserted: "PART IVA-ADDITIONAL PROVISIONS RELATING TO CITIZEN BAND RADIO STATIONS Emergency channels "65A. The licensee of a citizen band radio station shall not, except in cases of emergency, operate that station on a carrier frequency of 27.065 or 476.525 megahertz. Call channels "65B. (1) Subject to sub-regulation (2) the licensee of a citizen band radio station shall not operate that station on a carrier frequency of 27.085, 27.155 or 476.675 megahertz except- (a) for the purpose of initiating contact with other citizen band radio stations; or (b) in cases of emergency, where both the carrier frequencies referred to in regulation 65A are not available. "(2) The carrier frequencies referred to in sub-regulation (1) shall not be used, except- (a) in the case of a carrier frequency of 27.085 megahertz-for double sideband amplitude modulated transmissions; (b) in the case of a carrier frequency of 27.155 megahertz-for single sideband amplitude modulated transmissions employing the lower sideband of that carrier frequency; and (c) in the case of a carrier frequency of 476.675 megahertz-for angle modulated transmissions.".
