Radiocommunications (Licensing and General) Regulations2 (Amendment)
I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Radiocommunications Act 1983.

1.   Amendment
1.1  The Radiocommunications (Licensing and General) Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.
[NOTE:  These Regulations commence on gazettal: see Acts Interpretation Act 1901, s.48]
 
2.   Schedule 1 (Specified expressions in relation to transmitters)
2.1   Item 14, Column 3:
Omit the description, substitute:
 
“A base station, not being:
     (a)      a base station, Class I; or
     (b)      a base station, Class III; or
     (c)      a base station that forms part of a public mobile tele-communications service, Class A or a public mobile telecommunications service, Class B;
that is used in an extra high density location .”
2.2  Item 15, Column 3:
Omit the description, substitute:
 
“A base station, not being:
     (a)      a base station, Class I; or
     (b)      a base station, Class III; or
     (c)      a base station that forms part of a public mobile tele-communications service, Class A or a public mobile telecommunications service, Class B;
that is used in a very high density location or a high density location.”
2.3  Item 16, Column 3:
Omit the description, substitute:
 
“A base station, not being:
     (a)      a base station, Class I; or
     (b)      a base station, Class III; or
     (c)      a base station that forms part of a public mobile tele-communications service, Class A or a public mobile telecommunications service, Class B;
that is used in a low density location.”.
2.4  Item 57, Column 3:
After “radiocommunications service”, insert “, not being a public mobile telecommunications service, Class A or a public mobile telecommunications service, Class B”.
 
2.5  Item 58, Column 3:
After “radiocommunications service”, insert “, not being a public mobile telecommunications service, Class A or a public mobile telecommunications service, Class B”.
 
2.6  Item 59, Column 3:
Omit the description, substitute:
 
“A land mobile system service including any number of mobile stations on land, not being:
     (a)      a land mobile system service (extra high density location); or
     (b)      a land mobile system service (very high density location); or
     (c)      a public mobile telecommunications service, Class A; or
     (d)      a public mobile telecommunications service, Class B.”
2.7  Item 60, Column 3:
Omit paragraph (a), substitute:
 
  “(a)      that is used in conjunction with a land mobile service, not being a public mobile telecommunications service, Class A or a public mobile telecommunications service, Class B; and”.
