Determination 2006/22:
Remuneration and Allowances for Holders of Public Office
 
(i)        Pursuant to subsections 7(3) and 7(4) of the Remuneration Tribunal Act 1973, the Remuneration Tribunal has inquired into the remuneration and allowances to be paid to holders of public office, and other matters significantly related thereto, and determines as set out below.
 
(ii)        This Determination takes effect on and from the day following the day it is registered in the Federal Register of Legislative Instruments unless otherwise specified.
 
PART 1 – PART-TIME OFFICES
 
1.1       In this part, Determination Number 12 of 2006 (as amended) is referred to as the Principal Determination.
 
1.2       Table A1A of Schedule A of the Principal Determination is amended by omitting the entries in Column 1 for “Social Security Appeals Tribunal (SSAT)”, “SSAT Presiding Member”, and “SSAT Medical Member” and their associated entries in Columns 2 to 5 and replacing them with the following entries:

1.3       Clause A35 following Table A1A of the Principal Determination is amended by deleting the words “‘Presiding Members”.
 
1.4       The Principal Determination is amended by including Clause A35A following clause A35, with the following wording:
“SSAT Medical Members:  Medical Members will receive a minimum payment of $6,000 per annum, and will receive no daily fee for the first ten days each year.  The daily fee as set out in Table A1A, Column 3, will apply for each day worked in excess of ten days each year.”
 
1.5       Clauses 1.2, 1.3 and 1.4 take effect on and from 1 January 2007.
 
1.6             Table AIA of Schedule A of the Principal Determination is amended by omitting the figure “548” in Column 3 against the entry for “Superannuation Complaints Tribunal” and inserting the figure “643”.
1.7             Table A1A of Schedule A of the Principal Determination is amended by including the following entry after the entry entitled Australian Rail Track Corporation:

1.8             Table A1A of Schedule A of the Principal Determination is amended by deleting the following entries from Column 1 and their associated provisions:
Public Sector Superannuation Board,
Commonwealth Superannuation Scheme Board, and
CSS – CSB Trustees No 2.
1.9             Schedule A of the Principal Determination is amended by deleting clause A7 (PSS/CSS) and clause A8 (CSS/PSS) from the part entitled the “Additional Clauses To Table A1A”.
1.10        Clauses 1.7, 1.8 and 1.9 take effect on and from 1 July 2006.
 
1.11     Subclause B1.1 of Schedule B of the Principal Determination is amended by deleting the following entries:
 
After Hours Primary Medical Care Trials Steering Committee,
Clinical Casemix Committee,
Consultative Committee on Diagnostic Imaging,
Expert Committee for Surgically Implanted Prostheses, Human Tissue Items and
Other Medical Devices Committee,
General Practice Partnership Advisory Council,
Medicare Benefits Advisory Committee,
National Therapeutic Goods Committee, Subcommittee on Medical Devices,
National Therapeutic Goods Committee, Subcommittee on the Australian Code of
Good Manufacturing Practice,
Pathology Services Advisory Committee,
Specialist Recognition Advisory Committee, and
Specialist Recognition Appeal Committee.
 
1.12     Subclause B1.1 of Schedule B of the Principal Determination is amended by deleting the entry “Medicare Services Advisory Committee” and including the following entry immediately after Medical Devices Incident Review Committee: “Medical Services Advisory Committee”.
1.13    Subclause B1.1 of Schedule B of the Principal Determination is amended by deleting the entry “National Therapeutic Goods Committee, Subcommittee on Child Resistant Packaging” and including the following entry immediately after Therapeutic Goods Committee: “Therapeutic Goods Committee, Subcommittee on Child Resistant Packaging”.
 
PART 2 – FULL-TIME OFFICES
 
2.1             In this part, Determination Number 13 of 2006 (as amended) is referred to as the Principal Determination.
 
2.2             Table 2A of Part 2 of the Principal Determination is amended by omitting the current entries in Column 1 for “Executive Director, Social Security Appeals Tribunal”, “Director, Social Security Appeals Tribunal”, and “Member, SSAT” and their associated entries in Columns 2 to 6 and replacing them with the following entries:
