Determination 2007/14:
Remuneration and Allowances for Holders of Public Office
 
(i)        Pursuant to subsections 7(3) and 7(4) of the Remuneration Tribunal Act 1973, the Remuneration Tribunal has inquired into the remuneration and allowances to be paid to holders of public office, and other matters significantly related thereto, and determines as set out below.
 
(ii)        This Determination takes effect on and from the day following the day it is registered in the Federal Register of Legislative Instruments unless otherwise specified.
 
PART 1 – RECREATION LEAVE
 
1.1       In this part, Determination Number 9 of 2007 is referred to as the Principal Determination.
 
1.2       Clause 2.4.1 of the Principal Determination is amended by deleting the words “payment in lieu on separation or death;”.
 
PART 2 – PART-TIME OFFICES
 
2.1       In this part, Determination Number 10 of 2007 is referred to as the Principal Determination.
 
2.2       Table A1A of Schedule A of the Principal Determination is amended by deleting the entries for the “Australian Council for Children and Parenting”, “Australian Council for Employment and Training”; “Commissioner appointed under the Environment Protection (Impact of Proposals) Act 1974”; and “Maritime Industry Finance Company Limited”.
 
2.3       The Principal Determination is amended by deleting Clauses A13 (Australian Council for Employment and Training) and A23 (Environment Protection) in the Additional Clauses to Table A1A.
2.4       Table A1A of Schedule A of the Principal Determination is amended by replacing the entry for “Defence Housing Authority” with the following entry:

PART 3 – JUDICIAL AND RELATED OFFICES
 
3.1       In this part, Determination Number 11 of 2007 is referred to as the Principal Determination.
 
3.2       Clause 5.1.5 of the Principal Determination is amended by replacing the last two points with the following:
“●     any payment in lieu of recreation leave; and
●      any separation benefits in accordance with clauses 2.7 – 2.7.5.”
 
3.3       Clause 5.8.1 of the Principal Determination is amended by deleting the current wording of the clause.  The clause currently numbered 5.8.2 and relating to the National Native Title Tribunal Registrar will be renumbered as clause 5.8.1, with no other amendment to the clause.
 
3.4       Column 5 of Table 3 of the Principal Determination is amended by deleting the reference “5.8.1” against High Court of Australia, Chief Executive and Principal Registrar, and by omitting “5.8.2” and substituting “5.8.1” against National Native Title Tribunal, Registrar.
 
PART 4 – FULL-TIME OFFICES
 
4.1       In this part, Determination Number 13 of 2007 is referred to as the Principal Determination.
 
4.2       Table 2A of the Principal Determination is amended by replacing the reference to “Director-General, Australian Security Intelligence Organisation” with “Director-General of Security, Australian Security Intelligence Organisation”.
 
4.3         Table 2A of the Principal Determination is amended by inserting the following entry after the entry for “Director, SSAT”:

4.4         Clause 4.3 has effect on and from 1 July 2007.
 
4.5         Clause 2.2.3 of the Principal Determination is amended by replacing the current wording with “A dual appointee as Principal Member of the Migration Review Tribunal and Refugee Review Tribunal is entitled to Tier 1 travel and will receive an additional loading as shown in Column 4 of Table 2A.  This loading is included in superannuation salary”.
 
4.6         Table 3A – Accommodation Allowances - of the Principal Determination is amended by inserting the following entry after the entry for Mr T Calma:

4.10     Clause 4.9 has effect on and from 3 September 2007.
 
4.11      Table 3B – Reunion Travel - of the Principal Determination is amended by deleting the figure of “$7,128” in column 3 of the entry for Mr T Calma, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Social Justice Commissioner, and replacing it with “$9,950”.
