The Australian Fisheries Management Authority makes this determination under section 17(6)(aa) of the Fisheries Management Act 1991 and section 27(1) of the Bass Strait Central Zone Scallop Fishery Management Plan 2002.

1              Name of determination
                This Determination may be cited as the Bass Strait Central Zone Scallop Fishery Total Allowable Catch Determination 2010.
2              Commencement and period of application
                This Determination applies from 1 April 2010 and ends on 31 December 2010.
3              Definitions
                Unless otherwise stated, a term used in this determination and in the Bass Strait Central Zone Scallop Fishery Management Plan 2002 has the same meaning in this determination as in the Bass Strait Central Zone Scallop Fishery Management Plan 2002.
                Unless otherwise stated, a term used in this determination and in the Fisheries Management Act 1991 has the same meaning in this determination as in the Fisheries Management Act 1991.
4              Determination of total allowable catch
                The total allowable catch of the Commercial Scallop, Pecten fumatus, that may be taken in the Bass Strait Central Zone Scallop Fishery is 3,000 tonnes (whole weight).
                The total allowable catch of the Doughboy scallop, Chlamys (Mimachlamys) asperrimus, that may be taken in the Bass Strait Central Zone Scallop Fishery is 100 tonnes (whole weight).
