REFUND OF SECOND INSTALMENT OF VISA APPLICATION CHARGE
(Paragraph 2.12H(2)(f))
 
I, CHRIS BOWEN, Minister for Immigration and Citizenship, acting under regulation 2.12H of the Migration Regulations 1994 (‘the Regulations’):
 
1.         REVOKE Instrument Number IMMI 09/137 signed on 15 December 2009 specifying for the purposes of subparagraphs 2.12H(2)(f)(i), (ii), (iii) and (iv) of Part 2 of the Regulations, provisions under which the second instalment of the visa application charge is payable; AND
 
2.         SPECIFY, in the Schedule to this instrument, for the purposes of paragraph 2.12H(2)(f) of the Regulations, the provisions under which the second instalment of the visa application charge is payable.
 
This Instrument, IMMI 12/033, commences on 1 July 2012 immediately after the commencement of the Migration Amendment Regulation 2012 (No. 2).

[NOTE :  Regulation 2.12H specifies that the Minister must refund the amount paid by way of the second instalment of the visa application charge in relation to an application for a visa, if any of certain specified circumstances exist and a written request is received from a specified person.]
