Medical Indemnity (Prudential Supervision and Product Standards) Act 2003
 
I, Ian William Laughlin, APRA Member, under subsection 13(9) of the Medical Indemnity (Prudential Supervision and Product Standards) Act 2003 (the Medical Indemnity Act) and under subsection 33(3) of the Acts Interpretation Act 1901 REVOKE:
·           Instrument Issuing Guidelines No. 1 of 2003; and
·           Instrument Issuing Guidelines No. 2 of 2003; and
·           Instrument Issuing Guidelines No. 3 of 2003,
each made by APRA under subsection 13(9) of the Medical Indemnity Act on 6 August 2003.
This instrument comes into effect when it is registered on FRLI.

Interpretation
In this Notice
APRA means the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority.
 
FRLI means the Federal Register of Legislative Instruments established under the Legislative Instruments Act 2003.
 
Note 1    Under subsection 13(9) of the Medical Indemnity (Prudential Supervision and Product Standards) Act 2003, APRA may, by legislative instrument, issue guidelines on the matters referred to in paragraphs 13(9)(a) to (d) of that Act.
Note 2    Under subsection 33(3) of the Acts Interpretation Act 1901 where an Act confers a power to make, grant or issue any instrument (including rules, regulations or by-laws) the power shall, unless the contrary intention appears, be construed as including a power exercisable in the like manner and subject to the like conditions (if any) to repeal, rescind, revoke, amend, or vary any such instrument.
