Exemption — flight examiner rating for holders of CAO 82.0 check pilot approvals
1          Duration
                 This instrument:
(a)   commences on the day of registration; and
(b)   expires at the end of June 2016, as if it had been repealed by another instrument.
2          Application
                 This instrument applies to the holder of a Civil Aviation Order (CAO) 82.0 check pilot approval.
3          Exemption
            The holder of a check pilot approval issued under CAO 82.0 is exempt from holding a Part 61 flight examiner rating prescribed in Item 9 of Table 61.375 for subregulation 61.375 (7) of CASR 1998, but only for the purpose of conducting an operator proficiency check, other than an operator proficiency check for the purposes of regulations 61.650, 61.695 or 61.880 of CASR 1998, within the scope of his or her CAO 82.0 check pilot approval.
4          Conditions
            The exemption is subject to the conditions set out in Schedule 1.
Schedule 1          Conditions
        1     The operator proficiency check must be conducted in accordance with the operator’s approved training and checking system.
        2     The operator proficiency check must be conducted in accordance with all the conditions specified in the CAO 82.0 check pilot approval.
        3     The holder of the CAO 82.0 check pilot approval must be working for the operator while conducting an operator proficiency check.
