1  Name of regulation
                   This regulation is the Customs (Prohibited Imports) Amendment (Woolpacks) Regulation 2014.
2  Commencement
                   This regulation commences on the day after it is registered.
3  Authority
                   This regulation is made under the Customs Act 1901.
4  Schedule(s)
                   Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.
Schedule 1—Amendments
  
Customs (Prohibited Imports) Regulations 1956
1  Subregulation 2(1) (definition of Australian Wool Research and Promotion Organisation Standard)
Repeal the definition.
2  Regulation 4K (heading)
Repeal the heading, substitute:
4K  Importation of woolpacks
3  Subregulation 4K(1)
Omit “or woolpack caps” (first occurring).
4  Subregulation 4K(1)
Omit “or woolpack caps, as the case may be,”.
5  Subregulation 4K(1)
Omit “, Fisheries and Forestry”.
6  After subregulation 4K(1)
Insert:
          (1A)  A permission under this regulation is subject to the condition that the person to whom the permission is granted produces the permission if requested to do so by a Collector.
7  Subregulation 4K(2)
After “subject to”, insert “other”.
8  Subregulation 4K(2)
Omit “or woolpack caps, as the case may be,”.
9  Subregulation 4K(2)
Omit “or woolpack caps” (second occurring).
10  Subregulation 4K(3)
Repeal the subregulation, substitute:
             (3)  Subregulation (1) does not apply in relation to unused woolpacks if a prescribed testing authority has issued a certificate stating that the woolpacks conform to Australian Wool Exchange Standard No. 3, published on 1 July 2013.
          (3A)  Subregulation (3) applies subject to the condition that the certificate is produced to a Collector on request.
11  Subregulations 4K(4) to (7)
Repeal the subregulations.
12  Subregulation 4K(8) (definition of authorised person)
Omit “, Fisheries and Forestry” (wherever occurring).
13  Subregulation 4K(8) (definition of authorised person)
Omit “or woolpack caps”.
14  Subregulation 4K(8) (definition of prescribed testing authority)
Omit all the words after “Minister for”, substitute “Agriculture on the recommendation of the Australian Wool Exchange for the purposes of this regulation”.
