CLASS OF PERSONS
 
      (Sub-subparagraph 1232(2)(a)(ii)(A) and Item 1 of the table in subregulation 2.73A(4))
 
 
I, SCOTT MORRISON, Minister for Immigration and Border Protection, acting under
sub-subparagraph 1232(2)(a)(ii)(A) and  Item 1 of the table in subregulation 2.73A(4) of the Migration Regulations 1994 specify for the purposes of subparagraph 1232(2)(a)(ii)(A) and Item 1 of the table in regulation 2.73A(4) of the Regulations, each person applying for a Subclass 401 (Temporary Work (Long Stay Activity)) visa, the following classes of persons:
 
            (a) each person who is a 2015 Asian Cup participant; AND
            (b) each person who is a 2015 Cricket World Cup designated person.
 
For the purpose of this Instrument:
 
“AFC” means Asian Football Confederation
 
“2015 Asian Cup” means the sporting event hosted by Asian Football Confederation to be held in January 2015, including a Final Draw to be held in March 2014 and any other related activities taking place prior to the event; AND
 
 “2015 Asian Cup participant” means the following groups seeking to enter Australia in connection with any 2015 Asian Cup related activities:
 
Players; Team delegations; AFC organising committee; AFC executive committee; World Sport Group representatives; Asian Cup sponsors; AFC Administration staff; and Accredited foreign media.
 
 
 
 
“2015 Cricket World Cup” means the sporting event hosted by the International Cricket Council (‘ICC’) to be held in Australia in February and March 2015.
 
“Designated Person” means the following groups seeking to enter Australia in connection with any 2015 Cricket World Cup related activities:
 
Employees, officials, agents and representatives of the International Cricket Council Development International (‘IDI’); Employees, officials, agents and representatives of the ICC; Players; Team delegations; Coaches; Medical doctors and officials; Media representatives and broadcast partners; Any other person who is accredited by IDI in respect of the event.
 
This Instrument, IMMI 14/020, commences the day after registration on the Federal Register of Legislative Instruments.
 
This Instrument ceases on 1 July 2015.
