Determination 2014/01:
Remuneration and Allowances for Holders of Public Office
(i)              Pursuant to subsections 7(3) and 7(4) of the Remuneration Tribunal Act 1973, the Remuneration Tribunal has inquired into the remuneration and allowances to be paid to certain holders of public office, and other matters significantly related thereto, and determines as set out below.
(ii)        This Determination takes effect on and from the day following the day it is registered in the Federal Register of Legislative Instruments unless otherwise specified.

PART 1 – FULL-TIME OFFICES
1.1         In this part, Determination Number 10 of 2013 (as amended) is referred to as the Principal Determination.
1.2       Table 3A of Part 3 of the Principal Determination is amended by deleting the entry for Ms Kareena Arthy, Chief Executive Officer, Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority.
1.3         Table 3B of Part 3 of the Principal Determination is amended by deleting the entry for Ms Kareena Arthy, Chief Executive Officer, Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority.
1.4         Clause 2.2.20 in Part 2 of the Principal Determination is amended by replacing the current wording with the following “Solicitor-General: While Mr Justin Gleeson SC does not establish his principal place of residence in Canberra he will be paid an annualised amount of $34,500 per year instead of the daily amounts of travel allowance set out in Clauses 3.5 - 3.9 of Determination 2013/16 – Official Travel by Office Holders, that would otherwise be payable for travel to Canberra.”
1.5         Table 2A of Part 2 of the Principal Determination is amended by deleting “2.2.3” from Column 4 of the entry for “Chief Executive Officer, National Mental Health Commission (NMHC).”
1.6         Part 2 of the Principal Determination is amended by deleting Clause 2.2.3.
1.7         Table 2A of Part 2 of the Principal Determination is amended by inserting “2.2.3” in Column 4 of the entry for “Chief Executive, National Capital Authority.”
1.8         Part 2 of the Principal Determination is amended by inserting Clause 2.2.3 as follows: “National Capital Authority, Chief Executive: Mr Malcolm Snow will receive $332,200 Total Remuneration and $242,510 Base Salary for the initial term of his appointment.”
1.9         Clauses 1.7 and 1.8 take effect on and from 13 January 2014.
1.10     Table 2A of Part 2 of the Principal Determination is amended by deleting the entry for the “Director-General, AusAID”.
1.11      Table 2A of Part 2 of the Principal Determination is amended by replacing the amounts in Column 2 and Column 3 of the entries for Commissioner, Australian Federal Police, Director-General, Australian Security Intelligence Organisation,   Vice Chief of the Defence Force, Chief of Navy, Chief of Army, Chief of Air Force, Director-General, Office of National Assessments, Australian Electoral Commissioner, CEO Australian Financial Security Authority and the Australian Public Service Commissioner with the amounts listed in Table 2B, of Part 2 of the Principal Determination, Full-Time Offices – Transitional Arrangements under “1 Jan 2014.”
1.12      Table 2A of Part 2 of the Principal Determination is amended by deleting the entry for “Chairperson, Commonwealth Grants Commission”.
1.13      Clause 1.12 takes effect on and from 1 March 2014.
PART 2 – PART-TIME OFFICES
2.1         In this part, Determination Number 11 of 2013 (as amended) is referred to as the Principal Determination.
2.2       The Principal Determination is amended by inserting the following entry in Table A1A of Schedule A after the entry for “Australian Electoral Commission”:

2.3         Clause 2.2 takes effect on and from 5 December 2013.
2.4         Table A1A of Schedule A of the Principal Determination is amended by deleting the entry for the “Advisory Panel on the Marketing in Australia of Infant Formula”.
2.5         Table A1A of Schedule A of the Principal Determination is amended by deleting the entry for the “Aged Care Standards and Accreditation Agency”.
