THE REVISING OFFICER (APPOINTMENT AND
VALIDATION) ACT, 1985

REVISING OFFICER (APPOINTMENT AND
VALIDATION) 1985

(9th May, 1985.)

An Act with respect to the appointment of Revising Officers
for the year 1984 and the validation of certain acts.

1. This Act may be cited as the Revising Officer short title.
(Appointment and Validation) Act, 1985.

2. (1) Notwithstanding the provisions of any written Appointment and validation.
law, Colvin Sobers is deemed to have been appointed to be
Revising Officer for the Constituencies as defined in the Con-
stituencies Boundaries Commission Order, 1984 for the year s.'. 1984* No. 4.
1984 as if he had been duly appointed to be Revising Officer
for those Constituencies for 1984 under and by virtue of sec-
tion 7(2) of the Representation of the People Act, and the Cap. 379.
appointment as such Revising Officer is declared to be valid
for all intents and purposes.

(2) Nothing done or omitted to be done by Colvin
Sobers in the performance or purported performance of his
functions as Revising Officer for the Constituencies as defined
in the .Constituencies Boundaries Commission Order, 1984
for the year 1984 shall be or be deemed to be invalid by
reason only that Colvin Sobers had not prior to the coming
into force of this Act been appointed as Revising Officer for
these Constituencies in 1984 under section 7 ( 2 ) of the
Representation of the People Act.
