THE PROCEEDS OF CRIME (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2008

No. 18 of 2008

AN ACT to amend the Proceeds of Crime Act.

ENACTED by the Parliament of Antigua and Barbuda as follows:

1. Short title

This Act may be cited as the Proceeds of Crime (Amendment) Act, 2008.

2. Amendment of section 3 Interpretation

Section 3 of the Proceeds of Crime Act No.13 of 1993, is amended by—

(a) inserting after the definition of “interest” the following—

““person” means any entity, natural or juridical, a corporation, partnership, trust or es-
tate, joint stock company, association, syndicate, joint venture, or other unincorporated
organisation or group, capable of acquiring rights or entering into obligations;”.

(b) repealing the definition of “property” and substituting the following—
““property” means assets of every kind, whether corporeal or incorporeal, moveable or
