LAND SETTLEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT BOARD
(REPEAL)

An Act to repeal the Land Settlement and Development
Board Act 1946, and to make provision in respect of the
properties, rights and liabilities of the Board established by
that Act.

1. This Act may be cited as the Land Settlement and Short title,
Development Board (Repeal) Act.

2. In this Act- Interpretation.

"Board" means the Board established under the provi-
sions of section 3 of the Land Settlement and
Development Board Act, 1946; 711946.

"Fund" means the Fund established under the provi-
sions of section 11 of the Land Settlement and
Development Board Act, 1946.

3. All lands which, immediately prior to the coming Disposal of lands

Contracts. 6. The benefit and the burden of any contract made
by the Board and in force immediately prior to the coming
into force of this Act, being a contract to which the Cabinet
may direct that this section shall apply, shall, on such com-
ing into force, be deemed to have been transferred from the
Board to the Government.

Liabilities. 7. The Cabinet may direct that any liability of the
Board shall be deemed to have been transferred to, and
become the liability of, the Government.

General power to
make orders for

8. The Cabinet may by order make such provision
disposal of the as may appear to them expedient-

( b ) for securing the transfer to the Government of
the undertaking, or any part thereof, of the Board and
for matters consequential thereon.
