ANTIGUA AND BARBUDA

No. 19 of 1998

AN ACT to amend the Antigua rmd Barbuda Merchant
Shipping Act, Cap. 28.

ENACTED by the Parliament of Antigua and Barbuda as
follows:

1. This Act may be cited as the Antigua and Barbuda Mer- sholt tihe.
chant Shipping (Amendment) (No.2) Act, 1998.

2. Section 63 (2) of the Antigua and Barbuda Merchant Amendmentofsec-
Shipping Act (in this Act referred to as the "principal Act") is tion 63 of Clip. 28. ,
amended by repealing "completion" and substituting the fol-
lowing:

"competency".

3. Section 75 of the principal Act is amended as follows: ~mendmmt of see

(a) in subsection (1) by repealing "seaman" and sub-
stituting "s€atkler";

(b) in subsection (2) by

(i) repealing "with in the last place it occurs in
paragraph (g) and substituting "without"; and

(ii) repealing "speed in paragraph (k) and sub-
stituting "speech"; and

(c) in subsection (6) by

(i) repealing "of" in the first place it occurs; and

(ii) repealing "any" in the third place it occurs
and substituting "an".
