To strengthen governance for the amateur radio activities in Vietnam, ensuring order, social safety, postal administration issued rules to regulate the activities of amateur radio.
AMATEUR RADIO REGULATIONS (attached to decision No 99/1998/QD-CSBD on 14th February 1998 of the General Director of postal Bureau) Chapter i: GENERAL RULES article 1: amateur radio regulations (hereinafter the regulations) apply to the radio amateur activity on the entire territory of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

Chapter II: CONDITIONS to MAKE AMATEUR RADIO COMMUNICATIONS article 3: citizens of Vietnam from 16 years upwards, all foreigners living, working in Vietnam or to visit Vietnam legally have the right to ask for permission to make amateur radio contact according to the regulations of the terms.

4. Chapter VII: INSPECTION and HANDLING of breach of article 48: All amateur radio stations are subject to the inspection and control of the competent State bodies. Extraction and/or who have a license to use amateur radio stations are ready to meet the reasonable requirements of the test group.
