Inland waterways transport LAW _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ based on the Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in 1992 was amended and supplemented by resolution No. 51/2001/QH10 on 25 December 2001 of the Xth Congress, session 10;
This law regulates domestic waterborne traffic, chapter I GENERAL PROVISIONS article 1. Scope this law regulates the activity inland waterway transport; the conditions for ensuring the safety of inland waterway transport in respect of infrastructure, vehicles and people in traffic, inland waterways transport.
Article 2. The object to apply this law applies to organizations, individuals related to the operation of inland waterway transportation.
The case of the international treaties to which the Socialist Republic of Vietnam signed or joined other regulations with this law shall apply to the provisions of international treaties.
Article 3. Explanation of terms In this law, the terms below are interpreted as follows: 1. The operation of inland waterways transport is operated by people, vehicles in traffic, inland waterway transport; development planning, building, exploitation, protection of the infrastructure of inland waterway transportation and state management of inland waterway transportation.

Article 4. The principle of operation of inland waterway transport 1. Article 7. The liability of the Organization, the individual when there are accidents on inland waterways 1. CHAPTER II of the PLANNING, construction and PROTECTION of INFRASTRUCTURE of INLAND WATERWAYS TRANSPORT article 9. Infrastructure of inland waterway transport 1. CHAPTER III article 24 INLAND MEDIA. Operating conditions of vehicles 1. Article 25. Media registration 1. Means of lawful origin, quality standards, safety engineering and environmental protection under the provisions of the law shall be the State Agency has the authority to grant registration.

b) means destroyed;
c) means no longer recovery capabilities;
d) means assignment abroad.
5. Minister of transport means registration regulations, except the means prescribed in clause 6 of this Article.
6. The Minister of defence, Minister of public security, the Minister of fisheries in the scope of its powers, duties and organization of the registration duty means of Defense, security, fishing vessel.
