____ ELECTRICITY LAW based on the Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in 1992 was amended and supplemented by resolution No. 51/2001/QH10 on 25 December 2001 of the Xth Congress, session 10;
This law regulates the electricity.
Chapter I GENERAL PROVISIONS article 1. Scope this law regulates the planning and development of electricity; save electricity; electricity market; rights and obligations of the organization or individual operating the electricity and use of electricity; protection of electric equipment, power structures and electrical safety.
Article 2. The object to apply this law apply to the organization or individual operating the electricity, use electricity or have other activities related to electric power in Vietnam. The case of the international treaties to which the Socialist Republic of Vietnam signed or joined other provisions with the provisions of this law shall apply to the provisions of international treaties.
Article 3. Article 4. Electricity development policy 1. CHAPTER II of the PLANNING and DEVELOPMENT of ELECTRICITY article 8. Electricity development plan 1. Electricity development plan includes development of national power development plan, the local power. CHAPTER III the SAVINGS in ELECTRICITY, transmission, DISTRIBUTION and USE of ELECTRICITY article 13. Policies and measures to encourage and promote power saving 1. Article 26. Power quality assurance 1. Article 36.
