Pursuant to Decree No. 01/2008/ND-CP dated 3 January 2008 of the Government functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Ministry of agriculture and rural development, and Decree No. 75/2009/ND-CP dated 10 Sep 2009 by Government to modify article 3 of Decree 1/2008/ND-CP dated 3 January 2008;
Food Safety Law bases the number 55/2010/QH12 XII Congress passed on 17/6/2010 and take effect from July 1, 2011;
The Ministry of agriculture and rural development, issued the list of foods allowed irradiation absorption dose and allow for food irradiation has passed in the management scope as follows: article 1. Attached to this circular list of foods allowed irradiation dose and absorbed the maximum allowed for food in the scope of management of the Ministry of agriculture and rural development.
Article 2. Explanation of terms 1. Absorbed dose: is the ratio of de and dm, which is absorbing energy de average that ionizing radiation transmitted to food blocks (in joules) and dm is the mass of food (in kilogram).
2. the maximum permitted absorbed Dose: the dose absorption value is allowed for each type of food irradiation is permitted. The unit of absorbed dose is the Gray (Gy):, 1 Gy = 1j/kg, 1kGy = 1000 Gy.
Article 3. Effect 1. This circular effect after forty-five (45) days from the date of signing.
2. this list reviewed additional edits, depending on requirements. In the process, if there are obstacles, personal organization, agencies need timely reflection on the Ministry of agriculture and rural development (through the quality management Department of agriculture forestry and fisheries) to consider and resolve.
3. the Chief of the Department, Director of quality management products and aquatic products, the heads of the units of the Ministry, the individual organization concerned is responsible for the implementation of this circular.
